Like many people, I didn't find triathlon until later in life. Up until the age of 12, I was a competitive swimmer. I was competing in a number of county & national swimming galas, mainly in butterfly or front crawl. Typically like many swimmers, I burnt out and fell back into football & cricket. Football for many years I excelled in, representing a couple of academies & playing semi-professional football but always found myself wanting to achieve more.
In 2014, I eventually made the jump into multi-sports events after being inspired by other family members who had taken part in Ironman & Marathons. From the moment I did my first event, I was hooked and have been competing ever since.
